St. Mary's Catholic Primary School's official Open Morning for parents of future Reception pupils - September 2011 will be held on Friday 1st October 2010. Headteacher's speech starts at 9.30 am followed by a guided tour of the school. Programme ends at 10.30 am. more...

Schools Lunches now £1.75 per day! - Snacks, Milk Scheme & Free School Meals - All you need to know!

Dinner money will be £1.75 per day or £8.75 per week from September 2010. Monies to be sent into School on a Monday please, in a named envelope or sealed purse. Cheques to be made out to St. Mary's Catholic Primary School, Studley. Year 6 Leaver's Mass and a Final Farewell to Father Alex - July 2010

Sadly, at the end of term we said our fond farewells to all Year 6 pupils who go onto secondary education. We celebrated with a Leaver's Mass and all the pupils were awarded with a farewell gift. Many thanks to all Year 6 parents and carers, and to Mrs Woodhouse for organising such a beautiful service. A special thank you to the School's PTA for assisting with the lovely gifts. We also said a very fond farewell to our wonderful Parish Priest - Father Alex. This was the last Mass for Father to say at St. Mary's - it was an emotional goodbye. All the children had made and presented special Farewell cards. We wish Father Alex (and Otto) a very happy time in his next Church in Stratford-upon-Avon and thank him immensely for being with us at St. Mary's - he will always be a special person in our lives. We welcome our new Parish Priest who we will meet in the new term. more...

WEAVE Recycle ECO Day (through Extended Services) at Studley High School with Year 5 Studley Primary Schools - Friday 9th July

Year 5 Pupils from four Studley Schools, namely: St. Mary's Catholic Primary, Studley Juniors, Mappleborough Green Primary and Coughton Primary all attended a brilliant re-cycling art day at Studley High School. Hosted by WEAVE Recycle (through Extended Services) this Eco Day was designed to inspire creative use of recycled materials by children, young people, families, educators and community workers. WEAVE provides training opportunities to explore innovative approaches to learning encouraging pupils to become autonomous learners; resourceful, willing and unafraid to take risks. Well Done St. Mary's - Awarded 'Be Smart with Water School'! - Water Aid Survey

Great News! After a great deal of hard work in every Class across the School, and at the conclusion of a gruelling two hour assessment process, the Severn Trent assessor concluded that St. Mary's had clearly met the standards to become a 'Be Smart with Water School', (Severn Trent Water Accreditation follows). more...
St. Mary's welcomes our South African Visitors - Studley Cluster Schools Host Visiting Teachers - July 2010 (International Cross of Nails Schools Award)

St. Mary's, in association with Studley Cluster Junior and Primary Schools met at a welcoming Assembly for our visitors. We formally welcomed our South African school teachers to our school. Over the week teachers from township schools worked closely with the children during the mornings in four Studley Schools and spent their afternoons sightseeing and being entertained on a very busy schedule. St Mary's 'Green Day' - Monday 5th July - Great photos of the pupils hard at work - now available!

Our school is asking all pupils to wear one item of green clothing on Monday 5th July - ie. green socks, T-shirt. The day will start with an Assembly given by project Director of Environmental Issues at WCC. On this one day All Classes will be taking part in environmentally focused workshops - please see the Green flier sent home with your child. There will be two visiting bee keepers as well as David Julien (Act on Energy) who will be showing pupils alternative sources of energy. more...

As our Year 6 Pupils will be on a residential course at PGL for the best part of this week, our Walk to School Week - Year 6 will be excluded from the competition! School Summer Fete - Total Monies Raised!

The School Raffle was drawn at the Summer Fete. A FANTASTIC total of £1,398 was raised, from which the first prize of £100.00 was deducted. Thank you to all who purchased tickets - a special thank you to Mrs Flynn who administered the raffle. Thank you also to the PTA for kindly providing the second prize of £50.00. Well done to our School PTA who have announced their GRAND TOTAL of £2,600 monies raised with their wonderful stalls!. School Procedure for Dropping Off & Picking-up Pupils

Please remember that now building works are complete, ALL PUPILS should be DROPPED-OFF in the Key Stage 1 Playground. All KS2 pupils are to make their way around the new Foundation Building using the side footpath - round the back of the school - and into the KS2 Playground. All Pupils are to be COLLECTED from the Key Stage 1 Playground. Parents need to collect pupils from After School Clubs from the Front Office Foyer Area. Your child will be passed-over to you.
